Position Summary Randstad is partnering with a global manufacturer of highly engineered food processing equipment to locate an experienced Senior Welder for a regular, full-time, non-exempt role in Riverside, MO.

You will use advanced TIG and MIG welding techniques to build precision stainless steel machinery, ensuring high-quality production standards.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Thin-Gauge TIG: Perform high-quality TIG welding on 14–18 gauge stainless steel, ensuring clean, sanitary welds for food-grade machinery.

  • Layout & Setup: Lay out, position, align, and secure parts prior to welding using calipers, straightedges, and rulers.

  • Quality Control: Monitor welding processes to avoid overheating, warping, shrinking, or distortion of thin-gauge materials.

  • Diverse Welding: Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using manual or semi-automatic MIG and TIG equipment.

  • Shop Stewardship: Set up power tools and perform routine preventative maintenance on your equipment.

What You Bring
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) fabrication experience.

  • Material Expertise: Proven track record working with Stainless Steel, specifically with 14–18 gauge sheet and piping.

  • Blueprint Fluency: 5+ years of experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to solve layout calculations.

  • Availability: Flexibility to work overtime, including some weekends, when production demands.

  • Verifications: Ability to pass a hands-on weld test, background check, drug screen, physical, and agility test prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Master Thin-Gauge Welding: Expertly perform high-quality TIG welding on 14–18 gauge stainless steel, ensuring the clean, flawless, sanitary welds required for food-grade machinery.

  • Precision Layout & Setup: Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to welding using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.

  • Quality Control: Monitor fitting, burning, and welding processes to completely avoid overheating, warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of thin-gauge materials.

  • Diverse Welding Positions: Weld components seamlessly across flat, vertical, or overhead positions using both manual and semi-automatic MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) equipment.

  • Shop Stewardship: Recognize, set up, and safely operate hand and power tools common to the trade, performing routine preventative maintenance on your equipment.

  • Collaborative Timeline Execution: Review project blueprints and gather all relevant information prior to the start of a project, communicating proactively with managers to keep assembly tasks on schedule.
