Maintenance Mechanic

Spherion is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to provide comprehensive mechanical and electrical support to production operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in industrial or machine maintenance and a commitment to equipment reliability, safety, and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
Assemble, install, dismantle, and maintain machinery, pumps, motors, and control systems.
Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on equipment, panels, and electronic systems.
Conduct general equipment repairs, including replacing bearings, gears, shafts, motors, and other machine components.
Install and wire motors for standard and specialized production equipment.
Move machinery and equipment using forklifts, hoists, and other material-handling equipment.
Install and maintain conduit systems, including bending, threading, and reaming.
Perform machining operations using lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, and other shop equipment.
Complete welding tasks using MIG, TIG, or stick welding processes.
Perform plumbing and general facility maintenance as needed.
Execute preventative maintenance activities, including inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and equipment adjustments.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all safety regulations and procedures.

Working hours: Various Shifts Available

Skills:
MIG, TIG, or stick welding experience
Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial controls
Forklift, hoist, and rigging experience
Facilities maintenance, including plumbing and general building repairs
Experience in manufacturing, food production, or industrial environments
Root cause analysis and equipment reliability improvement
CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) experience
Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance tasks in a fast-paced environment
Experience with conveyor systems, hydraulics, and pneumatic controls
Electrical and mechanical installation of new equipment and machinery

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in machine maintenance or industrial maintenance
Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Installation, maintenance, and repair of motors, pumps, conveyors, and production equipment
Preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
Electrical troubleshooting, wiring, and control panel work
Ability to use shop equipment such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses
