Switchgear Assembler

Our client, a leading manufacturer specializing in electrical and mechanical products, is seeking a dedicated Switchgear Assembler to join their dynamic team. As a Switchgear Assembler, you will be an integral part of the assembly department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, teamwork, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Switchgear Assembler

Location: Kearny, NJ

Pay Range: $20-$24/ hourly

Shift: 1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 3:00 pm
2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 3:30 pm - 12:00 am

What's the Job?

• Assemble products to completion following electrical drawings and schematics
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical assembly fabrication drawings
• Work independently and adhere to a production schedule
• Participate in shop cleanup activities to maintain a safe and organized workspace
• Communicate effectively with Shop Leads regarding quality and production schedules

What's Needed?

• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical and mechanical assembly prints
• Mechanical aptitude; excel at the physical assembly of parts
• Familiarity with electrical wiring and assembly processes
• Ability to lead and direct others on assembly tasks
• Advance knowledge of hand tools and their proper use
