Position Purpose:

We value the safety of our associates! The Maintenance Mechanic keeps our associates safe by maintaining all equipment inside the warehouses/buildings and ensuring it meets industry standards and operates efficiently according to its specific tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities.
  • Performs general electrical and/or repairs of and various equipment on company premises.
  • Conduct periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required.
  • Maintains all equipment necessary to perform work.
  • Obtains work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepare for operations.
  • Performs daily safety checks.
  • Performs maintenance, repairs, and installations on various equipment within guidelines of processes and standards.
  • Maintains, replaces, builds, adjusts, and modifies the facilities, buildings, and the grounds according to a set schedule and in emergency and non-emergency situations.
  • Performs general housekeeping duties and keep maintenance area orderly and clean as required. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary reports and paperwork.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Ability to work multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Compensation

Pay is $19.50 an hour

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

1+ year maintenance, mechanic repair and/or related area

Physical ability to regularly lift, carry, and position: up to 30 lbs. regularly, up to 65 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.

Ability to work in a warehouse environment which will expose the incumbent to a variety of noise and potential extremes in temperature.

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years preferred experience of electrical- mechanical- and hydraulic equipment i.e., control panels- PLC's- conveyor shaft- motor and bearing replacement- etc. in a warehouse environment

Certifications: OSHA Forklift operator certificate; HVAC certification; ammonia
