The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision and coordination of day-to-day activities and employees of the maintenance and janitorial departments They will be responsible for determining priorities, work assignments and methods required to meet the facility needs while ensuring compliance with Company policies/procedures including safety and environmental regulations.
Key Activities/Responsibilities (list 1-15):
- Supervises all personnel across the Maintenance and Janitorial groups including, but not limited to the selection, supervision and development of maintenance and janitorial personnel, work schedules, overtime, employee complaints and concerns, disciplinary activities, and training needs.
- Ensures equipment is maintained and operational to company standards.
- Assists and supports maintenance personnel with expertise in completion of work orders in a timely manner.
- Manages preventative maintenance schedule on critical equipment and systems.
- Leads projects to support operational metrics of safety, quality, and productivity.
- Contact and works with suppliers/contractors regarding machine equipment and facility maintenance.
- Participates in improvement projects as required, assigning maintenance support; assisting in the coordination of outside suppliers where necessary.
- Supports overall facility planning activities regarding new equipment installations, building changes and factory rearrangement, in support of business needs.
- Partner with the Safety Department to assist in correcting any safety issues within the facility.
- Maintains collaborative relationship with all other departments.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education/Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field or five years of work experience.
- Minimum of five years working knowledge in the maintenance field in a manufacturing environment.
- Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be a self-starter and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires poise, tact, and diplomacy.
- Some analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work.
- Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
Wage Range: $68,731 - $98,187
