Manages and performs campus building services for assigned campus including general maintenance and repair of equipment and building systems, carpentry and painting; facilities tasks associated with college events including room or site preparation, set-up, break-down and clean-up; onsite point of contact for facilities-related service companies, vendors, inspectors, contractors, etc.; light custodial duties as needed.

- Be on call 24/7.
- Serve as the onsite point of contact for facilities-related service companies, vendors, inspectors, and contractors.
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and machinery.
- Act as the first point of contact for facilities needs on campus; receive and process maintenance requests using the college's work-order system.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure efficient operation of building systems and proper functioning of equipment.
- Operate lift equipment for maintenance repairs.
- Handle basic incident responses safely and promptly (e.g., water leaks, spills).
- Resolve facilities-related concerns and minor emergencies; refer to appropriate personnel when necessary.
- Move and deliver equipment, furniture, and supplies to campus faculty and staff.
- Initiate purchase requests for parts and supplies or obtain them from storerooms.
- Create work orders for repairs needing specialized knowledge or skills.
- Estimate repair and maintenance costs.
- Complete work-order checklists accurately and timely.
- Manage associated paperwork (invoices, work orders, project lists) according to college policy.
- Address Environmental Health and Safety matters, including hazardous materials and chemical spills, in coordination with the campus director and relevant departments.
- Provide local delivery and pickup services as requested.
- Perform debris collection on campus grounds as needed.
- Support college events by assisting custodial staff with preparation and cleanup.
- Monitor vending machines and recommend product availability to vendors.
- Prepare building door keys as requested.
- Manage security needs for campus parking areas and coordinate with security staff on safety matters.
- Work with the outsourced custodial service provider to ensure custodial needs are met and assist in building inspections.
- Assist in developing the campus facilities budget as requested.
- Collaborate with the Energy Education Specialist to enhance campus energy efficiency.
- Assist with the implementation of the Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan and the Business Continuity Plan as needed.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Director of Building Services or other supervisory personnel.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school diploma or GED
PREFERRED:
Associates Degree or two-year technical certificate
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Three (3) years experience in facilities, construction, or physical plant maintenance.
PREFERRED:
Prior experience with an educational institution.
