Responsibilities of the Part Time Mechanic Helper include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in loading/unloading, hoists, rigging equipment, and pumps on and off of delivery trucks
• Use hand tools, power tools, and sandblasters to dismantle broken equipment and clean grease, rust, or debris from pump interiors and exteriors
• Partner with mechanics to install rotating equipment for performance testing and assist with recording data.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace
• Assist in disassembly and reassembly on a variety of centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, and reciprocating pumps as well as other related rotating equipment either in-house or in the field
• Assist mechanics and senior mechanics in recording data and pictures for teardown reports and as built reports.
• Support shop coordinators with daily facility upkeep, equipment sanitation, and general operational tasks to ensure a safe and productive environment

Qualifications of the Part Time Mechanic Helper include, but are not limited to:

• Some experience working with rotating equipment preferred
• Knowledge of basic hand tools and precision measurement equipment
• Background check, physical, and drug test required
• Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn a skilled trade

Working Conditions: Shop and Field Service

Training/Certifications: Forklift certification preferred

Shift Time/Overtime: M-F 7:30 - 4:30

Travel: N/A

Education: High School Diploma or GED
