Education
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Texas Driver’s License
Experience
• Knowledge of building systems equipment repair and maintenance
POSITION FUNCTION/PURPOSE
To clean, maintain and repair heating and air conditioning equipment and control devices as directed by PM Foreman.
Respond to daily work orders and special projects regarding ongoing maintenance of air handlers, filters, pumps, belts,
fans, motors etc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Clean all heating and air conditioning equipment. (IE. coils, drain pans, chillers, air Compressors, etc.)
2. Checks thermostats to valve or damper operations to make sure the items work properly
3. Calibrates the controls to make sure that the equipment is working in accordance with specifications
4. Greases or oils equipment as scheduled
5. Checks and replaces belts and equipment scheduled
6. Keeps PM crew leader and operations supervisor informed on all projects and work order status
7. Substitutes on a temporary basis for an absent building engineer or assistant building
engineer at Lee High, Midland High or the Administration Building as assigned
8. Other duties as assigned by PM Foreman and Director of Maintenance
9. Maintaining and cleaning the mechanical rooms.
10.Working with contractors for air filters.
11. Various duties for all departments within the maintenance department as needed and not limited to helping
maintain water treatment through the water treatment systems.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Special Knowledge/Skills:
1. Knowledge of air conditioning, heating equipment, controls and building systems beneficial
