Property Maintenance Technician Job Description This role focuses on maintaining buildings, equipment, and grounds across a large multi-building property in Oconomowoc. You will perform a wide range of tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building maintenance, as well as groundskeeping and preventive maintenance on boats and vehicles. Responsibilities Maintain and repair building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical components, to ensure safe and reliable operation. Perform routine building and equipment maintenance across multiple houses and outbuildings on a large property. Complete general facility repairs such as painting, minor carpentry, and cosmetic improvements as needed. Conduct preventive maintenance on boats and automotive equipment to maximize reliability and extend service life. Carry out groundskeeping duties, including snow removal, lawn mowing, and tree and brush trimming, to keep the property safe and well-presented. Respond to maintenance requests and address issues promptly to minimize downtime and inconvenience. Monitor property conditions and proactively identify maintenance needs before they become larger problems. Provide on-call support for emergency or weather-related work, including urgent repairs and safety-related tasks. Use tools and equipment safely and maintain them in good working condition. Document maintenance activities as required and communicate clearly with stakeholders about work status and any issues identified. Essential Skills Hands-on experience in building maintenance and repair across residential or commercial facilities. Working knowledge of HVAC systems, including basic troubleshooting and maintenance. Practical plumbing skills, including diagnosis and repair of common issues. Basic electrical maintenance skills, including safe handling of electrical systems and components. Mechanical aptitude and experience performing preventive maintenance on equipment. Ability to perform general facility and equipment maintenance, including repair and painting tasks. Competence with groundskeeping tasks such as snow removal, lawn mowing, and tree and brush trimming. Capability to perform preventive maintenance on boats and automotive equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Willingness to be on-call for emergency or weather-related maintenance needs. Physical ability to perform manual work outdoors and indoors, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience working as an automotive mechanic is a plus. Experience maintaining commercial or residential facilities is a plus. Familiarity with a wide range of tools, equipment, and maintenance techniques. Construction experience is a plus. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively across a large property. The role typically follows a first-shift schedule with standard hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with flexibility when needed to accommodate property needs. You will also participate in an on-call rotation for emergencies or weather-related work, such as urgent repairs or snow removal. The work involves both indoor and outdoor tasks, exposure to changing weather conditions, and the use of tools, machinery, and maintenance equipment appropriate for building systems, groundskeeping, and boat and automotive care. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
