Industrial Electrician-Mechanic

We are hiring a full-time Industrial Electrician-Mechanic for our manufacturing facility in Carteret, NJ This is a permanent position with steady year-round work across our available shifts. In this role, you will work on the floor to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant production machinery, with a heavy focus on complex electrical circuits and controls up to 480V. Responsibilities

• Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex electrical circuits, including 480VAC to 30VAC, 24VDC, analog circuits, and sinking vs sourcing poles.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks and equipment adjustments on plant production machinery to optimize efficiency.
• Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals to identify and resolve machine issues.
• Repair and replace defective mechanical and electrical components such as wiring, valves, gauges, bearings, filters, and control instruments.
• Use PLC knowledge and experience to troubleshoot automated production systems and machinery.
• Navigate and utilize the plant CMMS system to log, track, and complete assigned maintenance work orders.
• Calibrate, adjust, and test the performance of functional parts and devices on the production floor.
• Complete process sheets, conduct equipment safety checks, and communicate shift details to ensure plant safety and continuity.
• Follow all plant safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, GMP standards, and food safety programs.
• Respond to on-call requests and work flexible shifts or extra hours as needed to minimize production downtime.
