We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious CNC Machine Operator & Setter to join our precision manufacturing team. This is not just an "order-taker" button-pusher role; we are looking for a technical professional who can independently set up milling machines, interpret complex drawings, and comfortably edit or write G-code programming on the fly.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Haas milling centers and thrive in a fast-paced, high-tolerance manufacturing environment.

salary: $26 - $30 per hour
shift: Second
work hours: 2 PM - 10 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

  • Machine Setup & Operation: Independently set up, calibrate, and operate multi-axis CNC milling machines (specifically Haas vertical/horizontal machining centers) to produce high-precision components.

  • Programming & Editing: Read, interpret, and modify G-code/M-code programs directly at the machine control panel. You must be able to edit existing programs to optimize cycle times or write basic programs from scratch based on blueprint specifications.

  • Tooling & Die Changes: Select, install, and align proper cutting tools, fixtures, and forming attachments. Perform tool wear offsets and manual tool changes as required by production runs.

  • Blueprints & Inspections: Read and interpret complex industrial engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols to determine precise machining sequences and dimensions.

  • Quality Control (QA): Conduct continuous in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges) to ensure finished products match exact dimensional tolerances.

  • Preventative Maintenance: Maintain equipment in optimal working condition by performing routine daily machine checks, clearing chips, and monitoring fluid/coolant levels to minimize operational downtime.

  • Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines, shop protocols, and correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) utilization to maintain a zero-incident workspace.
