2nd shift Maintenance Technician

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in producing essential plastic components that support various industries including transportation, food packaging, and industrial packaging, is seeking a dedicated 2nd shift Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician, you will be an integral part of the Maintenance Department supporting operational excellence and equipment reliability. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, proactive maintenance practices, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: 2nd shift Maintenance Technician

Location: Carol Stream, IL

Pay Range: $66,560 - $79,040

Shift: 2nd shift M-F 2pm-10:30pm

What's the Job?

• Repair chillers, thermolators, resin driers, loader systems, grinders, and tower fans, understanding their operations.
• Repair downstream automation and have some PLS experience.
• Control downtime by effectively troubleshooting and diagnosing problems quickly and accurately.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Disassemble, move, and/or relocate existing equipment and install new equipment as needed.

What's Needed?

• Prefered experience repairing injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment.
• Ability to work independently with solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic applications.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose problems and determine corrective actions.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and diagrams for hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Welding and machining skills are a plus.
