The Licensed Plumber / Plumbing Lead oversees plumbing operations, crew productivity, code compliance, quality standards, and workflow coordination within the modular construction production process. This position is responsible for leading plumbing personnel, maintaining production schedules, resolving plumbing and production issues, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations, and supporting field operations and inspections as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee plumbing operations within assigned production areas and project sites
  • Coordinate crew productivity, workflow, and scheduling priorities
  • Interpret plumbing plans, specifications, and production requirements
  • Ensure plumbing installations comply with applicable United Plumbing Code (UPC) standards and local requirements
  • Plan material needs and coordinate plumbing resources
  • Resolve installation, layout, and production conflicts during construction
  • Support inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and final plumbing verification activities
  • Ensure plumbing quality standards and inspection requirements are met
  • Train and mentor Journeyman Plumbers, Plumbing Apprentices, and Plumbing Helpers.
  • Coordinate with other trades, departments, inspectors, and production leadership
  • Monitor productivity, safety compliance, and operational performance
  • Communicate project status, production concerns, and material needs to management
  • Support implementation of company safety procedures and standard operating procedures
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and field locations as needed
Qualifications
  • Current Plumbing Contractor or Licensed Plumber credential required
  • Advanced understanding of plumbing systems and modular construction methods
  • Strong knowledge of United Plumbing Code (UPC) requirements and plumbing inspections
  • Strong leadership and crew management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed plumbing plans and specifications
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing layout, sequencing, troubleshooting, and production coordination
  • Ability to identify and resolve operational and quality issues
  • Ability to maintain production schedules and workflow expectations
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

This position is performed in an active construction, manufacturing, and warehouse environment and requires the ability to safely perform general labor and production support activities throughout the workday.

  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions
  • Stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
  • Perform general construction, warehouse, and production support activities
  • Frequently move throughout production and storage areas
  • Use hand tools, equipment, and material handling devices as needed
  • Lift, carry, move, and handle construction materials, supplies, tools, and equipment
  • Perform tasks involving manual labor and repetitive physical activity
  • Work around active equipment, machinery, and moving materials
  • Climb steps or ladders and access different work areas as needed
  • Maintain productivity and safety standards in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all safety policies and procedures
