- Enforces safety protocols and procedures:, Know company policy to maintain a safe work environment; enforce compliance between ALL team members, operations , maintenance, support groups.
- Equipment Certifications: Do not operate equipment unless being certified to operate the equipment.
- PPE: Comply with the plants PPE requirements.
- Tools: Know the safe usage of all tools, Lock out and report tools that are unsafe. Fully understand the proper use of needed tools before utilizing.
- Equipment: Do not work on equipment that is energized or unfamiliar. Especially the area where the work is centered.
- Attend Safety Training: Work with the supervisor to know assigned training schedule; related to the work environment and its hazards. and know equipment safety guidelines.
- Housekeeping: Ensure the shop/work area is clean and orderly when work is finished.
- Conduct Tech-to-Tech Handoff to:
- Review previous shift major occurrences
- Learn the troubled equipment, not fully repaired
- Understand activity completed to set up the next shift
- Attend Shift Huddle Meeting to:
- Learn the previous days performance
- Review top 3 downtime reasons, previous day
- Know the days priority work
- Review planned work; ask questions
- Planned Work Orders: Review all planned Work Orders assigned, ask questions regarding any plan uncertainty that exists.
- Close Work Order: Prior to leaving the worksite complete the Work Order with a Root Cause description, actual work performed description, parts used, and time applied.
- Unplanned Work Orders: Respond to the emergency call, confirm the issue, complete the work. Prior to leaving the worksite, get the Work Order number, complete the Work Order with a Root Cause description, actual work performed description, parts used, and time applied.
- Creating a Work Order: Enter all pertinent information to describe the equipment, enter a work description that leaves no room for interpretation, parts required, and an estimated time needed to complete the repair.
- Work Escalation: Escalate Job delay in accordance with the Escalation Process.
- Lead and/or participate in RCAs for processes enduring more than 60 minutes of Down Time.
- Identify and communicate improvement opportunities associated with increased safety and throughput, decreased down time and cost, methods to simplify repairs.
- Repetitive Failure: Provide input to minimize or eliminate repetitive failure recurrence.
- Work Order Enhancement: Provide work order/job description feedback
- Work descriptions needing modification
- Work Orders missing activity
- Improved activity sequence steps
- Improved activity/material specifications
- Part Numbers
- etc.
