What Youll Do (The Impact Youll Make)

As our Facility Maintenance Technician , you are the backbone of our physical operations. You will oversee the ongoing day-to-day preventive and reactive maintenance for our buildings and grounds, ensuring everything meets strict safety and operational standards.

  • System Maintenance: Monitor, operate, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical setups.

  • Proactive Repairs: Tackle general carpentry, light electrical work, building exterior upkeep, and manual repairs to keep the campus pristine and functional.

  • Safety & Compliance: Oversee critical fire, security, and safety alarm systems, maintaining up-to-date inspection records in compliance with local and state codes.

  • Contractor Coordination: Work alongside our operational leadership to manage outside vendors, schedule specialized contract work, and monitor service agreements (e.g., elevators, pest control).

  • Seasonal & Emergency Response: Lead occasional seasonal efforts like snow removal and serve as the primary contact for building emergencies to ensure our community is always protected.

SCHEDULE: Days, 40hrs/week, oncall rotation 1 week every 4 weeks - some evenings and weekends maybe required for emergency maintenance needs on campus.

What You Bring to the Team
  • The Technical Know-How: A solid, well-rounded background in general maintenance procedures (hand tools, pneumatic/electric tools, troubleshooting). Proficiencies in some or all of the following: plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.

  • Experience: Previous experience in plumbing and/or electrical work is preferred. A Commercial Applicator certificate or Water Operator certificate may be required.

  • Problem-Solving Mindset: An aptitude for diagnosing root-cause issues, prioritizing projects, and managing your time independently.

  • The Mosaic Heart: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You work with a spirit of service, showing tact, courtesy, and respect to our staff and the individuals we support.

  • The Essentials: A high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver's license, and the physical capability to lift, bend, climb stairs, and work comfortably in a hands-on, active environment.
