The Maintenance Technician is critical to the daily success of the club, ensuring all fitness equipment and facility systems are safe, functional, and ready for our members. You will be responsible for technical repairs, preventative maintenance, and ensuring the gym meets our high standards for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment & Facility Upkeep

Daily Inspections: Conduct a daily safety walk-through of the facility to identify and immediately address any potential safety concerns.
Preventative Maintenance: Maintain a detailed log of all preventative maintenance and keep a historical file on all club equipment.
Technical Repairs: Perform monthly OSHA safety checks and ensure all equipment adheres to OSHA and PM guidelines.
Special Projects: Execute facility improvements and special projects as directed by the General Manager or Operations Manager.
Operations & Procurement

Sourcing: Identify and procure necessary repair parts, tools, materials, and equipment required to keep the facility in peak condition.
Vendor Coordination: Manage the intake of supplies and ensure all maintenance materials are stored safely and organized.
Reporting: Update leadership regularly on the status of equipment repairs and any pending facility needs.
Qualifications

Experience: Previous experience in operations or maintenance at a gym or health club setting is required.
Technical Skills:

General knowledge of HVAC and electrical equipment is essential.
Use the internet to order part and research repair solutions, communicate with vendors and leadership by email or MS Teams.
Problem Solving: Ability to work independently and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Physical: Ability to lift heavy repair parts, stand for long periods, and navigate all areas of the facility (including mechanical rooms).
