Diesel Sprinter Van Mechanic

Mid-Level Must Supply Own Tools Part and possible Full-Time
Los Angeles, CA $25$35/hr DOE MonFri, 7 AM4 PM 2+ Years Experience

ABOUT THE ROLE

We operate a growing fleet of Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans and are looking for a skilled, self-motivated diesel mechanic to join our shop. You'll be the go-to technician for keeping our vans road-ready handling everything from routine maintenance to more involved diagnostics and repairs. If you know Sprinters, own your tools, and take pride in clean, thorough work, we want to hear from you.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

Oil, filter, and fluid service
Brake inspections, pad/rotor replacement, caliper service, and brake fluid flushes
Diesel engine diagnostics
AC system service recharge, leak detection, compressor and evaporator work
Suspension components, wheel bearings, and steering system repairs
Transmission service and drivetrain inspections
Belt, hose, and cooling system maintenance
Electrical troubleshooting: lighting, sensors, charging systems, upfitter wiring
Pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and DOT readiness checks

REQUIREMENTS

Own a complete set of professional hand tools
Working knowledge of basic mechanics
Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow specific instructions
Valid driver's license ability to drive manual transmission
Reliable, punctual, and self-directed on the shop floor

NICE TO HAVE

2+ years of diesel or commercial van experience
ASE certification (any series)
Experience with diagnostic software
Prior fleet or rental operation background
