Job: GMEC-Golf Mechanic Manager - Golf Recurring (Fleet)

As a Golf Mechanic Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and reliability of the company's fleet of vehicles, trailers, and landscaping equipment. This role leads the maintenance shop and mechanics to ensure equipment is safe, operational, and available to support daily field operations. The ideal candidate is a handson technical leader with strong organizational skills, a safetyfocused mindset, and experience managing maintenance teams in a fastpaced, fieldservice environment.

Responsibilities:

Manage and lead the daily operations of the maintenance shop, including mechanics and techniciansPlan and oversee preventive maintenance programs for vehicles, trailers, and landscaping equipmentDiagnose mechanical issues and ensure timely, costeffective repairsSchedule work orders, prioritize repairs, and minimize equipment downtimeMaintain accurate maintenance records, parts inventory, and service documentationManage vendor relationships for outsourced repairs, warranties, and parts procurementEnforce safety procedures, compliance standards, and shop best practicesCollaborate with fleet, operations, and production teams to align maintenance with operational needsAssist with budgeting, cost controls, and capital planning related to equipment maintenance and replacementParticipate in hiring, training, and performance management of maintenance staffManage repairs within a budget created by superintendent,Train golf equipment operatorsInspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical failures on all types of equipmentRegulate employees' safe use of equipment in absence of the superintendent and assistant superintendentFollows safety procedures as a top priority, reports any issues to Superintendent, Regional Superintendent and Director of Safety

Performing other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or vocational training preferred5+ years of experience as a mechanic, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management roleStrong knowledge of small engines, landscaping equipment, trailers, and light to mediumduty trucksProven ability to lead teams and manage shop workflows efficientlyAbility to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systemsStrong organizational, communication, and problemsolving skillsValid Driver's License and the ability to pass an MVR check

Preferred Skills & Experience

Diesel engine and heavy equipment experience is highly desirableExperience working in a commercial landscaping, construction, or fieldservices companyFamiliarity with fleet management or maintenance tracking softwareKnowledge of DOT compliance, safety inspections, and preventive maintenance programsBudgeting and inventory management experienceAbility to work collaboratively with operations and production leadershipBilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Valid CDL license is a plus!
