Position Summary: The Oil Spill Response (OSR) Mechanic, Field Technical Representative (FTR) role exists to perform all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on assigned aircraft (modified Boeing 737-500) at Dynamic Aviation's base in Weyers Cave, VA.

Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret maintenance manuals and FAA/manufacturer publications and directives to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged componentsPerform all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on assigned aircraft or ground support equipmentWork with the team lead or manager on upcoming maintenance activitiesReplace or repair worn, defective, or damaged components using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipmentRead and interpret pilots' discrepancies to diagnose causeAssemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories, using hand or power toolsOrganize and maintain shop floor/environment from clutter or debrisLearn procedures and steps for higher level assignmentsComplete required paperwork to comply with Federal Regulations and company proceduresMaintain parts inventory with aircraft and report all parts received from headquartersAct as customer service representative with tasks as requested by management /pilots, assist pilots with aircraft servicing pre /post flightIndependently develop work schedules and assignments to accomplish job responsibilitiesDeploy with the aircraft on spray operations/tests/demos as needed by the customerFly with the aircraft on spray missions as a spray system operatorMaintain the spray system in accordance with engineering documentation and FAA approved manualsOperate the spray system in the aircraft during low level spray flightsResponsible for completing expense reports in a timely manner 14 daysTroubleshoot and repair systems (OEM and STC's)Other duties as required
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GEDFAA A&P certificateAvionics/electrical knowledgeLive within 30-45 minutes from Weyers Cave, VA areaMinimum of 5 years aircraft experience of Boeing 737 or like series aircraft experience desiredGood teamwork, communication, problem solving and decision-making skillsComputer skills with Microsoft Apps including email and submission of detailed maintenance and flight information: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.Strong customer service skillsHighly resourceful
Additional Requirements
Ability to travel away from home location for up to 30 days based on customer/company needs (longer if needed)Ability to: lift, balance, and carry 50-150 lbs, crawl in and out of tight spaces, and predominantly work in enclosed hangars, occasionally in exterior weather conditions or elevated heights

Ability to work a full time position Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm. On call requirements include after hours and weekends
