Electronics Assembler (1st or 2nd shift) ($18-20/hr.) Job Description This role focuses on assembling circuit boards and semiconductor components using hand tools and detailed work instructions. Responsibilities Assemble circuit boards and semiconductor components using hand tools such as torque drivers and screwdrivers. Perform small part assembly, including crimping and other precision tasks that require strong manual dexterity. Follow detailed work instructions, wiring instructions, blueprints, and schematics to complete assemblies accurately. Complete small wiring tasks, including routing, connecting, and securing wires on electronic assemblies. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to assemble mechanical and electronic components. Work with circuit boards and surface mount technology (SMT) components, using microscopes or magnification tools as needed for inspection and assembly. Inspect assembled parts and products to ensure they meet quality and production standards. Maintain an organized work area and handle components carefully to prevent damage and ensure consistent quality. Collaborate with team members and production staff to meet daily output and quality goals. Sit for extended periods, typically 8-10 hours per shift, while performing detailed assembly and inspection tasks. Essential Skills At least 2 years of electronic assembly or small part assembly experience. At least 2 years of assembly experience working from blueprints, schematics, or written work instructions. Strong manual dexterity and comfort working with very small parts and components. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Experience using hand tools such as crimpers, torque drivers, screwdrivers, and other basic assembly tools. Familiarity with electronic assembly processes, including handling circuit boards and electronic components. Ability to sit and perform detailed assembly work for 8-10 hours per shift. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, consistent work. Comfort working in a production environment with defined processes and standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Soldering experience, including through-hole or surface mount soldering. IPC certifications related to electronic assembly and soldering. Experience with electronic testing or basic electronic troubleshooting. Familiarity with SMT (surface mount technology) assembly and inspection. Experience using microscopes or magnification tools for small part assembly and inspection. Experience in mechanical assembly using hand and power tools.
