Senior Maintenance Worker (Lake Operations)

We are currently seeking:
A Senior Maintenance Worker to join our team. In this role, you will work independently to perform general labor and maintenance work for City parks, streets, facilities and infrastructure in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating a variety of specialized equipment and performing semi-skilled manual labor tasks in order to maintain parks, streets, infrastructure and City facilities as assigned; duties will vary according to job assignment and individual skills; responds to emergencies as needed.
- Working independently, and makes appropriate decisions based on work experience.
- Coordinating work of maintenance work crew, assigning specific tasks to crew members, and inspects completed work to ensure compliance to safety and quality standards.
- May maintain work crew activity logs, prioritize work orders, and purchase supplies.
- Performing maintenance and repairs within scope of authority, and in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures; reporting safety hazards, equipment problems and emergency situations.
- Operating and maintaining a variety of tools and specialized equipment.
- Assisting in the repair and maintenance of parks and roadways; maintaining landscaping and grounds; clearing trash, brush, weeds and debris from roadways, structures, grounds and facilities.
- Cleaning and maintaining City facilities; making minor facility repairs; coordinating the construction of new facilities and installation of equipment.
- Monitoring work sites to ensure that safety rules and regulations are adhered to, and that the work zones and all equipment are in safe operating condition.
- Cleaning and storing hazardous materials according to City policy and procedures.
- Regular and timely attendance is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent; and two year's maintenance work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Licenses or Certifications:
- A valid Texas Driver License with a good driving record is required.
- Applicants with an out-of-state driver license must provide an original certified driving record from the state of driving licensure.
- A Class "A" CDL is preferred.
Required Knowledge of:
- City policies and procedures.
- City safety rules and regulations, occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Methods, tools and equipment used in building and grounds maintenance.
- Operation, maintenance, repair and safety standards for motorized equipment and vehicles.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Work is performed outdoors.
- Requires constant physical efforts, and ability to lift and carry up to 123 pounds.
