General Maintenance Technician

JOB REQUIREMENTS: General Purpose: Ensure that all equipment isoperating effectively and efficiently. Must have excellent proficiencyin preventative maintenance, over-hauls, modification, fabrication,welding and mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair. Mustalso have working knowledge of machine shop equipment and excellenttrouble shooting and problem-solving skills. Job Duties andResponsibilities: Perform preventative maintenance and/or repairs ofproduction and processing equipment as well as utility relatedequipment, following all safety procedures Support the installation ofnew equipment Assist the operators with training or troubleshooting tominimize equipment downtime Ensure all repairs are documented Fosterteamwork consistent with our company and plant mission, vision, and corevalues Adhere to all safety policies and procedures Follow all DairyFarmer of America GMP\'s and works in a manner consistent with allcorporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitationrequirements Maintain safe working conditions for employees andcompliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health andsafety issues Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee toleave work in the same condition as they arrived Exhibit the values andethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, andsound judgement Adhere to all Dairy Farmers of America Quality, Safety,and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity Attendrequired training, including but not limited to Safety, GMP, HazardAnalysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature andlevel of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list ofresponsibilities, duties and skills required.
