Temporary Maintenance Worker

As a Temporary Facilities Worker, you will be assigned to work in the Facilities Department helping maintain the Rice County campuses. This will include a variety of upkeep duties, for example, mowing and picking up brush and landscape and building maintenance. Assist Facilities with maintenance duties. Includes mowing which may require operation of mowers, vehicles, and other small equipment. Utilization of a variety of hand and power tools in landscape and maintenance work. Planting and pruning trees and shrubs around building campuses. Raking leaves and cleaning walks as needed. Emptying garbages and picking up litter. Assisting with interior building projects such as painting and wall patching. High school diploma or GED and valid driver's license. Requires walking, standing, lifting and bending to a significant degree. Must be 18 years of age or older. HOURS: Temporary position. Variable hours up to 40 hours per week.
