JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dedicated and detailed-oriented individual to join our manufacturing company as a Maintenance Supervisor. The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance team and ensures that all facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure are operating effectively and efficiently. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring safety standards are met, and minimizing equipment downtime to support smooth operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians and contractors.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and facility issues and coordinate repairs.
- Provide training and technical support to maintenance staff.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., production, operations) to minimize disruptions.
- Schedule and oversee inspections and repairs of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
- Recommend improvements to reduce costs and improve reliability.
- Follow all OSHA and plant safety rules including lock-out tag-out, etc.
- Help define and sustain proper 5S standards for the Maintenance related areas.
- Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
- Follow all company rules and policies.
- Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
- Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and facility systems strongly preferred
- Basic electrical knowledge for 120, 220, 480 volts equipment preferred.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving skills and attention to details.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical documents.
- Ability to properly identify and compile information to effectively make decisions and set priorities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Environment is not climate controlled. Limited control of heat and cooling, hot in the summers and cold in the winters.
- Loud industrial environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Walking, standing, kneeling, bending are required up to 90% of the workday.
- Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50-70 pounds, up to 20% of the workday.
WORK HOURS:
- This is a full-time position. Work week is Monday through Friday, 10-hour shifts. Occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work based on operational needs or emergency maintenance requests. Flexibility in schedule is expected to accommodate building access, equipment downtimes, or project deadlines.
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to be at work on time.
