Description

Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Facility Maintenance Supervisor I to join our team as the assistant to the Facility Maintenance Supervisor II. In this vital role, you'll support in overseeing all maintenance operations for our iconic resort situated along the breathtaking shores of Kentucky Lake.

As our Facility Maintenance Supervisor I, you will be the behind-the-scenes star ensuring our resort dazzles guests with a flawless, pristine environment. From identifying maintenance needs to supervising a team of skilled tradespeople, your expertise will be crucial in upholding our award-winning standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting regular inspections to assess maintenance and repair requirements across the resort's buildings, grounds, electrical, plumbing, and other systems
• Prioritizing and verifying completion of maintenance work orders to maximize efficiency
• Overseeing procurement of essential maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies
• Providing hands-on leadership by actively assisting with daily maintenance tasks
• Ensuring a safe, secure work environment while supervising and mentoring staff

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: High school graduate.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services or mechanical maintenance experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE

Working Conditions

Will be on call 24 hours a day. Incumbents in this job title may be exposed to extreme temperatures which requires the following of safety procedures.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
