Bakery Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled mechanic with experience in bakery equipment maintenance. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, effective teamwork, and respect for production schedules. Familiarity with IT, security systems, and basic facility repairs is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair bakery machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues promptly, minimizing downtime
• Collaborate with the operations team to align maintenance work with production needs
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment lifespan
• Record maintenance activities accurately and keep equipment documentation up to date
• Work with the team to quickly find effective solutions, prioritizing immediate issues without delay
• Stay updated on technological advancements, including IT and security systems, where relevant
• Support basic facility maintenance and repairs, including floor repair, plumbing, and sewer issues
• Some tasks cannot be completed during active production hours, so scheduling flexibilityincluding evenings, weekends, or post-production hoursmay be required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in machinery maintenance, ideally in bakery equipment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Experience with Rondo and Hobart equipment is highly desirable
• Experience or familiarity with IT and security systems is a plus
• Ability to perform general facility-related repairs (e.g., plumbing, floor repair, sewer troubleshooting)
• Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with respect for operational schedules
