The Pennsylvania Game Commission is seeking a capable and dependable Game Lands Maintenance Worker to work in our State Game Lands. If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding career the Pennsylvania Game Commission could be the place for you!

A Game Land Maintenance Worker 1 performs semi-skilled work and assists with other duties. For example, in this position, you will assist with maintenance, repair, and construction of bridges, roads, parking areas, gates, posting signs, ranges, and more. Our team will rely on you to safely complete jobs using labor, construction, and agricultural tools and equipment. This position will also require you to assist with mowing, habitat management, and other duties as needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of laboring experience using construction tools and equipment; or
  • One year of farming experience using agricultural tools and equipment; or
  • One year of construction equipment operation experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

  • You must possess an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C drivers license or equivalent.
  • This position requires the selected candidate to obtain an active Class A Commercial Drivers License within one year of employment in this job.

Additional Requirements:

  • This position is in Dunbar, PA, Fayette County. You must be willing to commute or relocate to work at this location.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Professional or personal experience in wildlife habitat management including producing food plots, improving or maintaining existing habitat to benefit wildlife by using tools and/or equipment
  • Experience in the labor and construction industry using tools and equipment
  • Experience maintaining labor and construction industry tools and equipment
  • Experience in agricultural practices using tools and equipment
  • Experience maintaining agricultural practices tools and equipment
  • A valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
  • Able to traverse all types of terrains and work in all types of weather conditions
  • Any other credentials, certifications, or licenses that may assist you in this position
