GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Micro Systems Inc., a leading electronics manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and functionality of our production floor and office spaces. This role ensures our facility systems are well-maintained, safe, and operational to support daily business activities and manufacturing operations

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and general building infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the production floor and office areas to proactively identify potential issues and perform corrective actions.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and emergency repair requests.
  • Coordinate and oversee work performed by outside contractors and vendors when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and equipment inventories.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of workstations, office furniture, and production equipment as needed.
  • Participate in facility improvement projects and continuous maintenance process enhancements.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Must be at assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of time; less PTO, FML/STD/LTD

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • None

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience as a Facilities Maintenance Technician or in a similar maintenance role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, troubleshoot issues, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees, vendors, and management.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving history.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Technical certifications or relevant maintenance training is a plus.

WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Office and production environment
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion using common tools of the trade
  • Must be able to climb a ladder, bend, squat, reach and perform tasks in small spaces
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to work overtime or weekends as required
