Maintenance Worker

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides maintenance services to all HCHS facilities regardless of location. Adheres to industry quality and safety standards.

• Perform general maintenance (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, construction) in all facilities.
• Operate and maintain plant equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of repair and preventative maintenance.
• Assists with floor maintenance as needed.
• Assist in maintaining all grounds, can include mowing, trimming, raking, sweeping, and snow removal on the established schedules.
• Assist with various types of project work including building, painting, moving, cleaning.
• Assist with various hospital related events as required.
• Complete work requests posted on the WorxHub work request system.
• Respond to all alarms and codes.

HOURS:

Full-time Day position, 80 hours per pay period, will include call rotation. Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm and must be willing to be flexible.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Advanced technical training related to building and equipment maintenance preferred.
• Must possess and maintain an active Iowa Driver's License and must live within 30 minutes of hospital for call purposes.
• Must be or be willing to become a State of Iowa licensed boiler operator.
