We’re not your average shop. Since 1969, Spears Manufacturing has been a national leader in custom plastic fittings, valves, and pipe production. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for both experienced pros and motivated new talent to join our Machine Shop and Maintenance Teams in Caney, KS.

OPEN POSITIONS:
• Manual & CNC Machinists
• Welders / Fabricators
• Industrial Maintenance Technicians

Pay Range:
$18 – $26/hour base pay
Final rate is based on your experience, skill level, and what you bring to the table.

Welder / Fabricator
You’ll thrive here if you can:
• MIG & TIG weld steel, pipe, and aluminum
• Read blueprints and tool drawings like a boss
• Work independently and get the job done right

Manual / CNC Machinist
What you bring to the table:
• Injection mold making experience is a big plus — but not required
• Strong mechanical skills and a problem-solving mindset
• Comfortable holding tight tolerances (± .002”)
• Ability to read and interpret tool drawings and blueprints
• Skilled in programming, setup, and operation
• Experience with Hurco, Fadal, or Romi machines (Fanuc controls) is a bonus
• Extra points for experience with:
• Manual mill, lathe, surface grinder, EDM, or saw
• 3D milling and Mastercam

Ideal Candidates Have:
• Ability to inspect your own parts accurately
• Knowledge of geometry & trig is helpful
• Comfortable using:
• ID/OD mics, depth mics, Jo Blocks
• Dial indicators (.0005), calipers, and hand tools
• Bringing your own tools? Big plus.

Education Requirements:
High school diploma, trade school certification, or equivalent experience.
