Description
The Leidos Airborne Mission Operations Division has an opening for Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor located in El Paso, TX.
The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor reports direct to the Director of Maintenance with functional responsibility to the Site Operations Manager. The responsibilities include forecasting and planning scheduled maintenance of contractor owned aircraft, managing a team of A&P Mechanics for launch, recovery, line service, aircraft operations, trouble shooting, repair, and scheduled maintenance. Administrative duties include setting work schedules and time accounting management for maintenance staff, reviewing training compliance as well as Flight and Ground Operations compliance. Ensuring the aircraft are maintained to the highest quality and safety standards. Daily updating of aircraft times in cycles in CAMP and LMMIS maintenance programs. Monthly reporting of aircraft times and cycles to the airframe, engine, and APU to OEMs.
The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor may be required to work in areas where high noise hazards, exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards exist.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee day to day maintenance activities.
- Planning and forecasting maintenance
- Scheduling maintenance staff
- Assessing and ensuring proper tooling, equipment, and parts to perform required maintenance.
- Preflight inspections
- Routine line service
- Launch and recovery
- Trouble shoot and repair line non routine discrepancies
- Create and maintain all Aircraft Maintenance Records IAW FGOP
- Daily/turnaround inspections
- Flight and Ground Operation Procedure Compliance
- Submit daily, weekly or monthly reports as required
- Perform corrosion inspections and related treatment
- Update maintenance tracking software and databases
- Work hours may be adjusted for operational requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot systems to provide an effective solution
- Maintain FAA required records, manuals and inspection forms
- Maintain aircraft maintenance records within CAMP & LMMIS
- Structural repairs and component in-house repair/back shop programs
- Washing/cleaning, servicing aircraft fuel/oil/hydraulic/oxygen/nitrogen systems
- Turbine engine, propeller, airframe and flight control/landing gear or engine rigging
- Track and perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, repair and inspections on all aircraft systems
- Build Maintenance / Inspection packages
- Order and track parts, tooling, and consumables
- Centralized POC for hangar operations
- Primary POC for flight operations and aircraft readiness
- Maintain and issue employee training
- Perform other assignments as directed by Management
Basic Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have a current US civilian driver's license
- Must have a current FAA Airframe & Powerplant License
- Must have exceptional Interpersonal Skills
- Must have a basic understanding of integrated avionics
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must have exceptional leadership skills
- Must have working knowledge of aircraft safety directive compliance (SL, SB, AD)
- Must be able to work shifts as assigned and travel as required to support operations
- Experience using common or special hand tools and test equipment as required for aircraft maintenance
- Must complete DOT drug test to determine the presence of illegal or un-prescribed controlled substances
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of aircraft/vehicle movement and safety/hazards during flight line operations
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of using aircraft technical publications with the ability to read and interpret basic schematic diagrams, drawings, and charts
- Must have proficient computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as maintenance database and tracking software
Preferred Qualifications
- Avionics experience
- Inspection Authorization (IA)
- Experience with Bombardier Global series aircraft or similar aircraft preferred

Pay Range: Pay Range $63,700.00 - $115,150.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
