Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic who can effectively read and follow work instructions and record data manually or through computer systems. The role involves assisting with the testing and repair of equipment, diagnosing problems, and executing repairs under supervision. You will also be involved in dismantling machines and equipment, installing new or repaired parts, and conducting preventive maintenance procedures. Responsibilities Test malfunctioning equipment and discuss variations in machine operation with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems. Assist with dismantling machines and installing new or repaired parts. Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures. Rig equipment for installation or relocation, as directed. Provide and utilize various hand tools as required. Read basic blueprints to install equipment and components. Operate an industrial forklift. Work at varying heights up to 50 feet. Essential Skills Proficiency in maintenance mechanics, hydraulics, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and pneumatics. Forklift License with renewal every two years. Confined space entry certification with recertification every year. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondences. Good communication skills. Ability to calculate figures and amounts like proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Competency in applying concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Why Work Here?
