**Job Description**
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining industrial equipment, performing preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring continuous operation of converting equipment and lines. This role involves participating in manufacturing process improvement initiatives, executing repairs, and implementing technical solutions. Familiarity with precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters is essential.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform maintenance on industrial equipment such as conveyors, photo eye sensors, packaging equipment, labelers, and cappers.
+ Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance on all equipment.
+ Troubleshoot equipment to identify and resolve issues promptly.
+ Ensure converting equipment and production lines operate continuously.
+ Participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives.
+ Execute repairs and implement technical solutions.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and 3-phase motors.
+ Comfortable with changeovers, setups, fillers, pumps, and valves.
+ Proficient in using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters.
**Work Environment**
The facility operates nearly a million square feet of production and distribution centers, running around the clock five days a week. As a liquid filling facility, it welcomes candidates with experience in liquid filling or packaging, and experience in the food and beverage industry is advantageous.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, Tennessee.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
