Position specifics:
Location: Cleveland Rolling Mill
Shift: 6:00 PM 6:00 AM (5-2-2-5 rotating shift)

What Youll Do:

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, youll support plant operations by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical systems such as hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, gearboxes, overhead cranes, and power transmission equipment. Youll also partner with the electrical maintenance team while contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment across the facility

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and installations

• Analyze test results, error messages, and operator feedback to resolve issues

• Collaborate with Electrical Maintenance Technicians for cross-functional support

• Maintain accuracy within the parts inventory system

• Utilize machining centers to fabricate or modify parts

• Follow all Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System procedures

• Fulfill essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

What Youll Need:

• High school diploma or GED (free GED program available)

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience

• Expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, welding, machining, and mechanical systems

• Ability to read blueprints and use technical manuals

• Safe operation of forklifts, cranes, and aerial lift platforms

• Basic math and computer skills

• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Nice to Haves:

• Journeyman certification or apprenticeship completion

• Welding experience (SMAW, MIG, and/or TIG)

• Steel industry experience

• Basic understanding of electrical drives

• Safety awareness training
