JOB DESCRIPTION:
New compressor assembly, rebuild disassembly, assembly of Frick and other manufactured compressors.
Dismantle compressors with the proper tooling:
-Hand tools (pneumatic and electrical equipment)
-100 Ton Press
-Oxygen acetylene torch
-Design and Fabricate methods to safely dismantle locked compressors
Evaluate the condition of internal compressor components after dismantling.
Using the proper measuring devices, check compressor components for wear and for improperly machined surfaces.
Determine the root cause of the compressor failure, and report to supervisor.
-Did a Frick manufactured part fail, and what caused the failure
-Was the failure system related
-Was the failure related to a purchased compressor component
With minimal direction from others determine which parts are scrap, re-workable, and re-useable.
Use power and hand tools to assure accurate fitting and complete alignment of parts to provide a properly functioning compressor which will pass all test requirements.
Follow sales orders and or blueprints with minimal direction from others.
Maintain teardown reports, log books, P.M. schedules, time sheets and other related materials.
Coordinate receipt, scheduling, parts requirements and shipments with other departments.
Perform the necessary material handling associated with the job.
Maintain necessary time, quality, quantity and other records.
Maintain clean, safe work area and equipment according to 5S standards.
May be called upon to participate within special work teams performing various team related duties. Including Kaizen events, 5S programs and problem solving exercises.
Follow all safety policies, procedures and JHRAs.
