Maintenance Mechanic
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic for a company based in North Houston, TX. The role involves installing and repairing production and manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities include inspecting machinery to verify proper functionality and carrying out preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidelines. The technician identifies equipment issues, diagnoses malfunctions, and performs necessary repairs or adjustments. The position requires working in environments with heat and noise while frequently engaging in physical activities such as lifting, climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending, and kneeling.
Pay Rate
$25.00- $30.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule and Hours Monday Saturday 7am 7pm OT is Mandatory, 60 hours per week guaranteed Hours and workdays are subject to vary. Maintenance Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on the assigned production line to ensure optimal performance. Conduct repairs on all production equipment as needed to minimize downtime. Implement upgrades by installing new equipment and technology, coordinating with external contractors working on the assigned line. Adjust production line molds based on manufacturing demands to support efficient operations. Maintenance Mechanic Qualifications and Requirements: Experience: 4 to 8 years as a mechanic in a heavy industrial environment or equivalent military experience. Equipment Operation: Familiarity with and ability to operate cranes, come-along, forklifts, man lifts, scissor lifts, and boom extensions. Safety & PPE: Prior experience using a full-faced mask is preferred. Technical Skills: Hands-on experience handling, installing, and troubleshooting water pumps, hydraulic pumps, pneumatic cylinders, air motors, and power tools. Mechanical Expertise: Previous experience in bearing removal and replacement using heat expansion techniques. Gear Systems: Skilled in troubleshooting, assembling, and maintaining gearbox transmissions. Precision Measurement: Ability to use basic measuring tools such as calipers, dial indicators, gauges, and micrometers, with a solid understanding of basic shop math. Tools: Must own or be willing to invest in essential tools, including wrenches, sockets, hammers, etc. Work Commitment: Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, off-hours, and holidays, based on business needs. Professionalism: Must be drug-free, possess excellent character, and demonstrate a high level of trustworthiness. Job Type
