Maintenance Mechanic 2nd Shift | Rochester, NY**
**Position:** Direct hire
**Shift:** 2nd shift (possible 4x10 schedule)
**Pay:** $30+/hour based on experience
**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled **Maintenance Mechanic** to join a manufacturing facility in **Rochester, NY** . This is a direct hire position offering competitive pay based on experience. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical skills with hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on industrial processing, packaging, and peripheral equipment.
+ Fabricate small machine parts, guards, and other components using machining, welding (stick, TIG, MIG).
+ Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including cylinders, valves, accumulators, and compressors.
+ Maintain and repair hydraulic systems including cylinders, valves, accumulators, etc.
+ Perform pipefitting tasks as required.
+ Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
+ Work with hardwire/relay logic, PLCs, industrial PCs, motor drives, instrumentation, and high/low voltage systems.
**Qualifications:**
+ Minimum 3 years experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed.
+ Comfortable working in varying conditions including hot, cold, humid, and noisy environments.
+ Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for 8+ hours.
+ Strong commitment to following safety rules and regulations.
