Carry out electrical installation, repair and trouble shoot electrical faults on equipment, maintain preventive maintenance, maintain stock of maintenance supplies, assist mechanics with small mechanical repairs, and PLC programming and maintenance.
**PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES**
**1. Electrical Installation (30%)**
+ Installation of lighting, electrical services and subservices.
+ Equipment installation and hook-up.
+ Relocation of electrical equipment.
+ Continuous improvements of machinery and modification.
+ All work to meet Ontario Hydro Electrical code.
**2. Preventive Maintenance (20%)**
+ Prevent machine breakdown by regular inspection and ensuring that all electrical devices and connection are functioning adequately.
**3. Repair and trouble shoot faults (25%)**
+ Identify problems with machines and equipment.

**4. Maintaining Stock (5%)**
+ Regular inventory of electrical supplies.
+ Contact appropriate vendor to ensure supplies are in stock.
+ Order supplies in a timely manner to ensure delivery and completion of work without disruption.
**5. Assist mechanics with repairs (20 %)**
+ Work with mechanics to repair equipment as needed.
**6. Health and Safety (100% - At all times)**
+ Proactively identify and resolve safety concerns
+ Observe and conform to all corporate EH&S guidelines and procedures
+ Adhere to established Lockout/Tag out Programs
+ Actively participate and evaluate PSRs
+ Participate in the establishment of annual EH&S objectives
**7. Housekeeping (100% - At all times)**
+ Maintain clean work environment on the production floor and within the maintenance shop.
+ Conform to all ergonomic assessment requirements
**POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS**
1. Minimum 2 Years of community college or equivalent
2. Minimum 5 years of work related experience
3. Qualified electrician
