Description for Candidates:

Promote and practice safe work habits while performing basic repairs and services on light, heavy duty, and diesel trucks; road construction and maintenance equipment; hydraulic systems; and electrical components.

How you will contribute:

Diagnose and Repair: Diagnose, repair and complete basic tasks on a variety of equipment types such as tires, brakes, lighting, pumps and valves. Use basic scan tools to read and clear check engine light codes.Maintain Documents and Records : Prepare, process, and maintain required maintenance and repair documentation. Generate documents and work orders in computer system. Perform time and leave entry in appropriate systems.Perform Manual Labor : Prepare, process, and maintain required maintenance and repair documentation. Generate documents and work orders in computer system. Perform time and leave entry in appropriate systems.Preventative Maintenance : Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule and guidelines.

Additional Considerations:

A combination of training, experience, or education in Engineering, or related field desired.Ability to obtain a VSP State Inspectors license within 2 years of employment.Ability to obtain a commercial drivers license.Experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.Experience with performing light vehicle services and repairs.Knowledge of general welding practices.Knowledge of laptop and/or hand-held diagnostic programs.
