PODS Enterprises, LLC, a leader in the moving and storage industry, is currently seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician for our Avenel, NJ market.
In this hands-on role, youll work across designated Storage Centers, ensuring our cutting-edge equipment operates at peak performance. Youll also have the opportunity to perform forklift and delivery truck bed repairs while keeping a safe and organized work environment throughout your assigned territory. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on the PODS Lift System (Podzilla), including troubleshooting small engines, diagnosing 12V electrical issues using a multimeter, and repairing hydraulic components.
Conduct lubrication of mechanical parts, metal grinding, cutting, and light tack welding as needed.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance using Fleet Maintenance Software and provide reports to management as needed.
Train drivers in the proper use of the lift system to minimize unnecessary repairs.
Travel between storage centers within an assigned terri t ory, with occasional overnight stays as required.
May perform preventative maintenance on forklifts and minor truck bed repairs.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of repair experience (forklifts, hydraulic systems, vehicle maintenance, small engine repair).
Tack Welding and metalwork experience preferred.
Forklift Driver Certification (preferred).
Ability to crawl under and around company equipment as needed.
Capable of lifting and carrying objects up to 60 pounds.
Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Equivalent combinations of education, training, or experience will be considered.
