General Maintenance Worker

Summary of Job Description:

Incumbent performs general maintenance and groundskeeping duties for selected properties owned by The Mohegan Tribe.

Minimum Requirements:

• Knowledge of groundskeeping and general maintenance equipment and tools, including their design, use, repair, and routine maintenance
• Knowledge of commercial grounds maintenance
• Good verbal communication and customer service skills
• Ability to perform Essential Duties with demands which include:
  • Lifting and/or moving up to 60 pounds, pushing/pulling, kneeling, climbing, crouching, and reaching
• Ability to work in adverse conditions such as extreme cold and extreme heat, dust, noise, and wetness
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule as required for emergencies, snow/ice control, and special events
• Ability to perform around mechanical hazards, moving objects and mechanical equipment
• Two (2) years’ commercial groundskeeping experience using grounds keeping and general maintenance hand tools and power equipment
• Valid driver’s license from state of residence
• Selected candidate must successfully complete a background check and continue to be eligible for employment in accordance with the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Policy (Policy #80)
