Electrician Maintenance Dept

Conducts equipment set-up, troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance on mine electrical equipment and components.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of electrical equipment and components during production and performs scheduled electrical repairs of production equipment during nonproduction hours

Trouble shoots electrical equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, power supplies, drives, gages, and other equipment

Performs electrical duties including repair of heavy-duty mining equipment and other equipment used in the mining process

Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required electrical maintenance and service

Comply with MSHA safety and health rules

Performs other duties as assigned or needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience, education, and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position

Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

Must be available to work any shift, weekends, overtime, and extended hours as needed

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or Equivalent

This position is required to work in an area that is dusty and that may expose an individual to occasional diesel fumes. In addition, work surfaces under feet may include solid concrete, be uneven, contain heaves, boulders, and other aggregate material that could cause unstable footing and that would require an individual to stand upon for at least eight (8) hours per day or at least forty (40) hours per week.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Candidates must have open availability to work a 40-hours workweek with the availability to work any shift, including mandatory Saturday schedules when necessary

Starting rate of pay: $29.60/hr. $30.06/hr.
