Tool Repair Mechanic

DHC Supplies is a trusted, 100% employee-owned construction supply company serving hardworking contractors and tradespeople since 1961. We’re looking for a Tool Repair Mechanic who’s mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and driven to solve problems with precision. 

Major Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a variety of power tools, pneumatic tools, and small equipment to restore full functionality.

• Perform routine maintenance and testing, documenting all repair work accurately and clearly.

• Communicate with customers and vendors via phone and email, providing updates, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience from start to finish.

• Create and process repair estimates, sales orders, and purchase orders for replacement parts and services.

• Maintain organized records of repairs, parts usage, and customer interactions.

• Help manage and organize parts inventory to keep the shop running efficiently.

• Support your team by taking on additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in tool repair, mechanical troubleshooting, small engine repair, or a related trade preferred (but we’re open to training the right person).

• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail, able to spot issues others miss.

• Good communication skills with a helpful, customer-first attitude.

• Able to work independently and contribute to a team oriented environment.

• Comfortable using a computer to enter repair notes and process orders.
