Diesel Truck Mechanic**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team, performing preventative maintenance and inspections on cement/ready mix trucks and other heavy equipment such as forklifts, loaders, and lifts.
**Responsibilities**
**Pay:** $25-$32/hr
**Shift:** 11AM-8PM
**Responsibilities**
+ Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on cement/ready mix trucks and various heavy equipment.
+ Perform DOT repairs, engine replacements, rebuilds, and overhauls.
+ Troubleshoot and maintain diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
+ Complete required documentation and reports for maintenance and repairs.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 3 years of diesel engine experience.
+ Proficiency in engine repair, overhaul, and maintenance.
+ Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
+ Experience with hydraulic systems.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Preferred experience in heavy equipment repair.
+ Experience working on Cummings Trucks is highly preferred.
+ Experience with cement trucks is considered ideal.
+ Knowledge of DOT documentation and writing expectations.
**Work Environment**
This role operates in an outdoor shop environment that is covered but subject to temperature variations. The work schedule is from 11 am to 8 pm. There may be occasions requiring travel to other sites if trucks are broken down and cannot return to the main site.
