We are seeking a reliable, friendly, experienced Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team at a brand new, large, 6 story, 55+ independent living community in Edmonds. Job Description
Our Facility Maintenance Technician is in charge of keeping our common and residents living areas well-kept and serviced to high standards. You should also be able to resolve resident complaints and queries promptly and in a polite manner. You are the right candidate if you are strong work ethic, self-motivated, friendly, detailed oriented and takes pride in their work. This is a part-time to full-time position starting with 20 hours per week.Must be able to work at least one weekend day.
Responsibilities
- Assist Maintenance Director in identifying needed repairs or replacements in apartments, rooms, common areas, landscaping, parking areas, etc.
- Paint apartments and common areas.
- Turn vacant apartments.
- Complete work orders from residents and staff.
- Assist with preventative maintenance to refurbish or replace deteriorating items and avoid costly repairs.
- Completes special projects as directed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience of at least 2 years in commercial maintenance and/or construction.
- Special consideration given to experience in large, multi-unit properties and painting.
- Must be knowledgeable of safety standards, maintenance practices and procedures in painting plumbing, electrical, HVAC
- Ability to lift and push100lbs
- Must be available on-call and/or for weekend shifts.
- Must have a valid drivers license in the State.
- Must have clean background check.
- A liking for adults over 55.
