NOW HIRING: Maintenance Mechanic (Mech 2 or Mech 3 - Afternoon Shift)

Location: Leetsdale, PA

Shift: Afternoon Shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)

Schedule: Guaranteed 40 hours/week + voluntary overtime & mandatory OT

JOB OVERVIEW:

We're hiring for a Mech 2 or Mech 3 Maintenance Mechanic to support our afternoon shift. Candidates for either position must be dependable, safety-focused, and capable of working with minimal supervision. A Mech 2 should have hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with a solid understanding of mechanical systems and a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and complete tasks independently. A Mech 3 should bring a higher level of expertise, with advanced troubleshooting abilities and strong experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and fabrication. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing both routine preventative maintenance and unplanned emergency repairs, supporting equipment setup, and maintaining accurate documentation. This role requires someone who can think critically, respond quickly to equipment issues, and help keep operations running smoothly across the facility.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Vocational certification or associate degree preferred

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to consistently report to work on time and work 40+ hours, including voluntary and mandatory overtime schedules
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal directives and maintenance-specific safety procedures
  • Basic math skills including fractions and decimals, with ability to use tape measures and micrometers
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to develop troubleshooting and fabrication skills
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Working knowledge of general maintenance equipment including cranes, forklifts, and welding/cutting tools
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and vendors
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically capable of lifting 20-80 lbs., repetitive standing, walking, bending, and using hand tools safely
  • Strong focus on safety and quality assurance

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine inspections of equipment, machinery, and work areas
  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance tasks
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform corrective actions
  • Support production setup, equipment calibration, and pneumatic system repairs
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Perform stick welding and light fabrication as needed
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, including hot work and safe work permits
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas, including post-maintenance housekeeping
