Summary

The HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the Residential HVAC Service Technician in the completion of service, installation, warranty, and PMA work per customer/office request or scheduled contract terms.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for assisting Residential Service Technician in preparing for the day by loading all the equipment for scheduled jobs.
• Maintain company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization, both inside and out.
• Willingness to learn and be teachable
• Actively involved in learning processes in:
• Residential service, installation of condensers, coils, furnaces, package and roof top units, mini split systems, thermostats, high efficiency air filters
• Installation and/or design of ducts for ventilation purposes.
• Installation and wiring of High Efficiency systems, zoning, humidifiers, Comfort Guard, and other peripherals.
• Quality control on layout, cleanliness, sealing the system, and overall install details.
• Completion of daily assignments/checklist in residential crawl space and attics. Complete required paperwork including daily time/payroll sheets and submit in a timely manner.
• Available to work occasional Saturdays.
• Participate in all company sponsored training classes.
• Work in and maintain a safe working environment.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• EPA certification required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in the HVAC industry as an apprentice or maintenance technician outside of school.
• Must be 21 or older
• Must possess team spirit, and be able to work closely with maintenance, production, and engineering, and out of doors services.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
• Technical and mechanical competence
• Must pass MVR screening and maintain a good driving record
