• Pour and finish concrete for sidewalks, curbs, and gutters

• Patch potholes and spread asphalt, gravel, and sand

• Keep roads clearplow snow, mix salt, and handle winter emergencies

• Load and haul materials to job sites in city trucks and dump bodies

• Trim trees and brush, rake leaves, and remove debris to keep streets safe

• Clean and fix storm drains, catch basins, and manholes

• Set up barricades and signage for road work and emergencies

• Run big equipment: graders, endloaders, backhoes, sweepers, loaders

What You Need

• Experience: At least 2 years on a crewroad work, construction, public works, or similar
• Skills: Know your way around machines and arent afraid of physical work
• License: Iowa Class A CDL with air brakes, or ability to get one in 6 months (preferred if youve already got it)
• Ready to Work: Comfortable outdoors, in all Iowa weatherrain, shine, snow, or heat. Able to lift 75 lbs. or more, operate hand tools, and handle tough tasks
• Team Player: Can listen to instructions, keep safety in mind, and work with others who take pride in a job well done
