Mechanic / Generator Winder

Position requirements:

• Good mechanical skills & aptitude
• 100% travel – all expanses 100% company paid.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain nuclear power plant clearance.
• Successful completion of pre-employment physical; respirator use required.
• Must be a resident of one of the following county's; Albany, Montgomery, Fulton, or Schenectady. (able to commute to AGTServices, Inc. (Amsterdam, 12010).

Responsibilities

• Job activities include dismantling, reassembling, rewinding, repairing and testing of individual mechanical and electrical components of large turbo- generators.
• Travel is required throughout the year.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalency diploma (required)
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally; extensive travel will be required.
• Ability and willingness to work in a range of environments including repair shops, industrial sites, manufacturing facilities and power plants.
• Ability and willingness to work at, and gain access to nuclear power stations requiring drug screens and background investigations.
• Pass a drug screen

Desired

• Knowledge and skills for equipment repair; military, technical, or trade school certification.
• Knowledge and experience in rewind processes, coil and bar installation and related assembly components; experience with winding and general assembly techniques such as tying, taping, banding, wedging, brazing, and flooding
• Experience in rotating field rewinds procedures and processes.

Job Type: Full-time

• Starting Pay: $25.00 - $55.00 per hour commensurate with experience
• 1 ½ x hourly rate for overtime & Saturdays / 2.0 x hourly rate for Sundays.

Salary/Compensation: $25.00 - $55.00 per hour
