**About the Role:**
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled **Data Center Electrician Engineer** to join our critical infrastructure team. This senior level position is responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of all electrical systems within our data center environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with sophisticated power distribution equipment, including Russelectric switchgear, Vertiv UPS systems, CAT generators, and battery systems. This role requires a proactive detail oriented individual with a strong understanding of data center electrical safety protocols and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues under pressure.
**What Youll Do:**
+ **Preventive Maintenance:** oversee scheduled preventive maintenance on all electrical equipment, including Russelectric switchgear, Vertiv UPS systems, CAT generators, and battery systems, in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and industry best practices.
+ **Troubleshooting and Repair:** Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues, including system failures, power outages, and equipment malfunctions. Troubleshoot electrical circuits, components, and equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
+ **Switchgear Expertise:** Possess expert knowledge of Russelectric switchgear operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Perform switching operations, breaker testing, and relay calibration.
+ **UPS Proficiency:** Demonstrate in-depth understanding of Vertiv UPS systems, including battery maintenance, load testing, and system configurations.
+ **Generator Operations:** Operate, oversee maintenance, including fuel system management, load testing, and emergency power procedures.
+ **Battery Systems:** Oversee battery capacity testing, replacement, and maintenance.
+ **Electrical Safety:** Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
+ **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and testing activities, including work orders, logs, and reports.
+ **System Monitoring:** Monitor and analyze electrical system performance using monitoring tools and systems. Identify and address potential issues proactively.
+ **Collaboration:** Work effectively with other team members, including mechanical engineers, data center technicians, and vendors.
+ **On-Call Availability:** Participate in on-call rotation to respond to emergency situations and ensure 24/7 data center uptime.
+ **Continuous Improvement:** Stay abreast of industry best practices, new technologies, and evolving data center standards.
**What Youll Need:**
+ High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred. Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes. Valid Driver's license required.
+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
+ Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
+ Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
+ Advanced math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages discounts and commissions.
